Eveline Pierre is Founder and Executive Director of the first Haitian Heritage Museum outside of Haiti. Ms. Pierre sees her primary focus as Executive Director is to create a legacy for future generations while educating the world about the many contributions of the Haitian people. Under her leadership,Miami News Times voted the Haitian Heritage Museum “Best Museum” of Miami and in 2015, the museum received Miami Today’s Award for “Best of Miami.” Ms. Pierre received the Toussaint Louverture Award for her service to the community, and the Excellence Award by African Women In Leadership for her commitment to women’s empowerment globally. She serves on several advisory bodies, among them Art Basel and Brickell Avenue Literary Society. Pierre earned her bachelors degree in Political Science from Howard University where she also completed a minor in History, with a focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. She has been active in arts and entertainment for more than a decade and believes that “creativity is the doorway to success”.
