Curator, art critic and professor of contemporary Argentine art. Since 2000 Florencia is the Curator of the Memorial Park, institution within the scope of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, where she is responsible for the Public Art Programming and Curator for temporary exhibitions. Florencia participates regularly in congresses and conferences in Argentina and abroad. Her interests focus on Argentine and Latin American art of the XXth and XXIst centuries, with special emphasis on the links between art practices, political practices, memories and human rights. She is a member of Argentine and International Association of Art Critics (AACA) and (AICA). She is part of the editorial board of Public Art Dialogue, a magazine specialized on public art, published by Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group. Florencia also serves as jury in numerous contests and prizes; among the latest the National Salon (2011); Klemm Award (2012); “Buenos Aires and Justice”, Provincial Visual Arts Exhibition of the province of Jujuy and Braque Award (2014). Since 2012 she implements the “Federal Program of Contemporary Art” promoted by the arteBA Foundation. In 2013, she obtained the Trabucco Fellowship for a research project on the emergence of memory in Argentine art during the nineties.
