A POP-UP MUSEUM

Published 24-08-2015

To imagine is to see the world and oneself anew. And museums help us do that in millions of ways (Leslie Bedford. The Museum Group, USA)

What is a pop up museum?

A pop-up museum is a temporary participatory exhibit. Its goal is to generate conversation around a particular topic.

Why a pop-up museum about imagination?

Because “reimagining the museum” means embracing the power of the imagination in our work. We invite you to share a story about how a museum visit inspired your imagination and curiosity, opened you to other realities, or transported you to a different time or place.

How can I participate?

Share a time your imagination was kindled at the museum. Tell a story, draw a picture or bring an image to post (no larger than 7×7 inches). Perhaps it was an exhibition that took you to another time or place, a work of art that inspired new feelings, a  bit of text that brought unknown voices to life, or any other memorable experience…

And take time to respond to your colleagues’ contributions.

Use your imagination!

Every day, at TyPA Café.

  1. MARCELA ANDRUCHOW
