Daniel Castro
Bachelor of Fine Arts (Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano), Degree in Musical Studies (Universidad de los Andes), Master Degree in History (Universidad Nacional de Colombia-sede Bogotá). Castro is well known as an expert and project developer in education policies and good practices in museums in Colombia and Latin America.
Former head of Education of the National Museum of Colombia (1996-1999), Director of Casa Museo Quinta de Bolívar y el Museo de la Independencia-Casa del Florero (Ministry of Culture of Colombia 1999-2015). Board Member and Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Committee of Education and Cultural Action (CECA) of ICOM (2009-2014)
Since 1980 have designed diverse educative projects in museums and cultural institutions in Colombia, as Casa de Bolívar en Bucaramanga, Museum of Modern Art (Bogota) National Museum of Colombia, Luis Angel Arango Library and Cultural Areas of the Central Bank; Palais Belvedere- Vienna, ARTBO (Bogota Art Fair).
