Coordinator of the Kitchen Area at Museo del Puerto del Ingeniero White
Lucía Bianco
Lucía has been working for more than 15 years in the museums in Bahía Blanca and the area, carrying forward exhibitions, writing scripts and coordinating educational projects and workshops. Her work favors the interweaving of different languages and disciplines, such as visual arts, social sciences and poetry.
As a writer, she has published Preinsectario (2003), Etiquetas de Dulces (2004) and Diario de exploración afuera del cantero (2005). She has been part of the team of Museo del Puerto del Ingeniero White since 2007, where she is currently in charge of the Kitchen Area. There they carry out events in which the community participates, including meetings among neighbors, cooks and musicians; as well as archive and research activities around the history and present of the kitchen and cooking.
Within this framework, they published Tendal de repasadores (2013), a book that approaches the multiple connections between personal stories and collective history prompted by an everyday object: the dish towel.
