Marcelo Araujo 

Marcelo Araujo is the President of the Instituto Brasileiro de Museus (IBRAM) and he was State Secretary of Culture of São Paulo (2012-2016).

He received his PhD degree from the Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (School of Architecture and Urbanism) of the University of São Paulo and was a professor at the Post-Graduation Course in Museology of the Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia (Archeology and Ethnology Museum) of the University of São Paulo from 1999 to 2006.

He was the Director of the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo since 2002 to  2012. Previously he was the Director of the Museu Lasar Segall – IPHAN/MinC, also in São Paulo.
