Adriana Correa Velásquez became Executive President of Corporación Maloka in April 2017, and since then has faced the challenge of making the Corporación sustainable and recovering it as a center for the social appropriation of science, technology and innovation.
She has an extensive experience as director, advisor and public administrator. She is an expert in project management and cooperation, as well as in the consolidation of public-private partnerships.
She comes from the public sector, where she served as Director of Appropriation of Information and Communication Technologies at the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies; as an adviser of the “Fronteras para la Prosperidad” Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; as manager for the modernization of the planetarium at the Secretariat of Culture of Bogotá and as an advisor to the Ministry of Culture. Social sensitivity and the transformation of her country and the environment have been the causes that drive her professional career. She has led cultural, borderline, city and information and communication technology projects.
She holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and is a Specialist in International Negotiation and Relations from the Universidad de los Andes, and in Management and Public Affairs from the Universidad Externado de Colombia in Bogotá. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communication and Journalism from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín.
