Armando Perla

Armando Perla is part of the founding team in the new Rörelsernas Museum, or Swedish Museum of Migration and Democracy, in development in the city of Malmo, Sweden. He was also part of the founding team in the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, where he was a curator for almost 10 years. Through his curatorial career Armando has worked in the development of numerous exhibitions in Canada and abroad. He also has a vast experience conducting oral histories and in research and co-curatorship with vulnerable and historically marginalized populations.

Armando has been Associate Professor at the University of Winnipeg and Manitoba University’s Law School. He has worked in different capacities in various organizations such as Casa Alianza in Guatemala, Lunds universitet’s Commissioned Education in Sweden, the Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council in Canada and the Center for Justice and International Law in Washington DC.

Armando holds a Law Degree from the Université Laval in Canada and a Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law from Lunds universitet and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in Sweden.
