Isabel Collazos holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Master’s Degree in Museology from the University of New York, where she graduated with the thesis “Curators who place their visitors at the center ”, based on a museum visitors study conducted in 2015.
Her interests include pre-Columbian art, museum education and visitor studies. She is currently Chief Curator at the Museo Larco.
In her more than 10 years of experience in museums, she has worked in different areas, such as curatorship, registration, education and visitor studies.
She was a curatorial assistant intern at the Linden-Museum Stuttgart in Germany in 2012, and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York between 2014 and 2016. In both cases she participated in the development of international exhibitions on Pre-Columbian art.
