Ricardo Rubiales

He began his work in the museum field in 1994, in the search and application of cutting-edge educational theories in museums. He has collaborated in the development of more than 40 exhibitions. He worked in the creation projects of five new museums, including Papalote Cuernavaca and the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) in Mexico, the Yaku Parque Museo del Agua in Quito and the Museo de la Ciudad de Panamá. He is currently participating in the modernization project of the Centro de Ciencias de Sinaloa in Mexico. 

Museographer and educator, with a Master’s Degree in Neuropsychology and Learning, he participates in the academic committees of various international conferences on museums and education. Teacher and lecturer, he has designed national and international congresses, seminars on educational research and workshops. In 2019, he received the Colette Dufresne Tassé award for excellence in museum research, granted by the Committee for Education and Cultural Action of the International Council of Museums (CECA ICOM), and his project “el planisferio” was granted the Ibermuseos award, among other honors. He is currently undertaking his doctoral research on critical museology.
