She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the Universidad de los Andes in Mérida, Venezuela. She studied Community Museology at the Universidad del Zulia and Latin American Thought at the Universidad Católica Cecilio Acosta. She was curator of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo del Zulia and the Museo Norte de Santander. She has been a fellow of the Colombian Ministry of Culture and the Fundación Gilberto Alzate Avendaño.
Since 2017, she has directed the Museo Casa Natal del General Santander, one of the 14 museums of the Colombian Ministry of Culture, located 4 kilometers away from the Venezuelan-Colombian border. Her work there seeks to connect the history of Independence, and the birth of the Colombian Republic, with the regional context, through programs and projects that put an emphasis on small stories, in the history of everyday life, using dialogue as a meeting point and favoring experience as a tool to understand historical processes.
