Ximena Escalera Zamudio holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Intercontinental. She holds a Master’s Degree and a Doctorate in Art History from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, including a research stay at the Universidad de Barcelona. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Museology from the Escuela Nacional de Conservación, Restauración y Museografía. She has carried out documentary and iconographic research for different art publishing projects. From 2011 to 2013, she was a researcher at the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes. In August 2015, she joined the area of research and coordination of the “Asuntos del Arte” collection in Ediciones Manivela. Since 2017, she is part of the Fundación Pedro y Elena Hernández, as Coordinator of Exhibitions and Research in the Jardín Escultórico de Edward James, Las Pozas, located in Xilitla, within the Huasteca Potosina in Mexico.
