Leticia Pérez Castellanos

Research Professor of the Postgraduate Degree in Museology at the Escuela Nacional de Conservación, Restauración y Museografía (ENCRyM-INAH, Mexico), where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Museology. She is a PhD student in Anthropological Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana – Iztapalapa. She has developed a triple activity: as a professional, teacher and researcher, in the field of museums’ visitor studies and international exhibitions.

She collaborated as Assistant Curator in the restructuring of the rooms “Introducción a la Antropología” and “Poblamiento de América” in the Museo Nacional de Antropología. She was part of the team that designed and created the Museo Interactivo de Economía, where she worked as Evaluations Coordinator. She was Deputy Director of International Exhibitions in the National Coordination of Museums and Exhibitions of the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH) and Coordinator of the Postgraduate in Museology at ENCRyM-INAH. She collaborated in the Observatorio Iberoamericano de Museos of the Ibermuseos program, during a residence at the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Spain.

She is co-author of Cosmopolitan Ambassadors: International Exhibitions, Cultural Diplomacy and the Polycentral Museum (Vernon Press, 2018), co-coordinator of the Foro Estudios de Públicos and editor of the digital series Estudios sobre públicos y museos (ENCRyM, 2016, 2017, 2018). She publishes her personal reflections in the blog El Diván Museológico.
