Lluvia Sepúlveda is the Director of the Museo Nacional de Culturas Populares. She was Director of Ars Museografía, an organization dedicated to the realization of exhibitions and the design of museums, among whose projects are the Centro Cultural Comunitario de Teotitlán del Valle in Oaxaca and the Museo de las Identidades Leonesas in Guanajuato. She was Chief Curator at the Museo Nacional de Arte and the Museo Nacional de la Estampa, and a researcher at the Museo Nacional de San Carlos, the three of them part of INBA. She has worked on the redesign of different museums and curated numerous national and international exhibitions. She holds a Master’s Degree in Art History from  UNAM’s Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas, a specialization in Museography from ENCRYM and a Bachelor’s Degree in Ethnohistory from ENAH. She has received several awards and scholarships, among them Proyecto Bi from the Fundación BBVA Bancomer in 2018 and 2017, Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo in 2018, Apoyo a las Artes from the Fundación BBVA Bancomer in 2016, Programa de Fomento a Proyectos y Coinversiones Culturales from FONCA in 2015, a Getty Foundation scholarship to participate in the American Alliance of Museum’s Annual Meeting in 2013, and a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Culture to attend the Real Academia de San Fernando.
