Renata Vieira da Motta

Renata Motta is President of ICOM Brasil. Architect and Urbanist (1998), Master’s Degree (2003) and Doctoral Degree (2009) in Architecture and Urbanism by the Universidade de São Paulo. She was a professor at the Associação de Ensino de Arquitetura e Urbanismo de São Paulo | Escola da Cidade and an invited professor at the “Crítica y Curaduría” postgraduate degree in the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). She has experience in the area of Architecture and Urbanism, with a special emphasis on Museums and Cultural Management, working mainly in the following themes: museums, public policies, management. From 2011 to 2016 she worked in the area of museums of the Secretaria da Cultura do Estado de São Paulo, as Technical Director of the Sistema Estadual de Museus (SISEM-SP) and Coordinator of the Unidade de Preservação do Patrimônio Museológico (UPPM). She is currently linked to the Universidade de São Paulo, as Advisor of the Rectorate for the area of museums and collections.
