Matteo Merzagora
Matteo Merzagora is scientific director of the TRACES science communication think-and-do tank in Paris, and director of the science culture centre Espace de Sciences Pierre-Gilles de Gennes – ESPCI Paris / PSL. He is currently involved in several programs linking the science in society and the social inclusion agendas, and using arts and culture as a way to empower citizens with respect to scientific knowledge. He teaches at the Master in Science Communication, SISSA (Trieste, Italy), and lectures in several science communication and science courses in France. He has worked as consultant for science museums (Palais de la Découverte, Cité de Sciences et de l’Industrie, MUSE), and as project manager or consultant for European Science in Society and RRI projects. He is member of the editorial board of the Jcom Journal of science communication. Among his books, Science in radio broadcasting (Polimetrica, 2005, with E. Tola and M. Mazzonetto), Scienza da Vedere (Sironi, 2006), La scienza in mostra (Bruno Mondadori, 2007, with P. Rodari), Listening and empowering: linking the social inclusion and the science in society agendas (Jcom, 2015, with Vanessa Mignan and Paola Rodari).
